Since 2007, Sopi Patricia has acquired experience in renowned international law firms (Hogan Lovells, Aramis, CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, Marie-Andrée NGWE’s law firm) as well as in important international groups (Rio Tinto, BNP Paribas, Saint-Gobain).
Sopi Patricia has developed an expertise in OHADA law and in the national law of OHADA member countries notably in corporate law (legal secretariat, creation/dissolution of companies, merger-acquisitions operations), banking law (negotiation and implementation of financing agreements and guarantees, cash pool activities, bookkeeping and means of payment, electronic banking, reviewing agreements for the pledge of bank accounts and shares), Cameroonian electricity law (negotiations relating to the renewal of concessions: drafting memoranda, analysing of issues relating to electricity transport), commercial practice (drafting and renewing commercial contracts, commercial leases, legal opinions, memoranda, audit reports), management of national and international projects (Carried out an Engineering Procurement Management project in Brazil, coordinating and managing the transfer of a business in Indonesia).

After six-years of significant experience in business law firms in Paris and in Hong Kong (August & Debouzy, Thomas Mayer &Associes), Bourgelie founded Lexa International Consulting, a firm with offices in Hong Kong and in Brazzaville (Congo).
Bourgelie has developed an expertise in corporate, mergers and acquisitions, drafting and negotiating contracts, handling project finance matters in oil and gas sector, mining, infrastructure, real estate and services.
Bourgelie, among other things, provided assistance to the Ministry of Mines in Congo in the negotiation and drafting of mining exploitation conventions with foreign investors; conducted legal audit and due diligence, amended contracts for the Congo national refinery; assisted a Congolese economic operator in seeking financing and in structuring the concession operation of a port petroleum infrastructure; drafted a legal opinion on various aspects of Congolese and OHADA laws such as commercial leases, land ownership and title to land.

Abikè acquired a cosmopolitan background through her experiences in Africa (Benin, Côte d'Ivoire), Europe (France) and North America (Canada).
Her expertise in Public and Private International Law (international protection of Human Rights, international debt recovery, international commercial contracts) led her to join the United Nations (UNEP, UNESCO), Manseau Associés (a French law firm based in Paris), and Bionomos Ltd. (a Canadian consulting firm based in Montreal).
Since 2009, Abikè advises sovereign states, international organizations and companies (biotechnology, cosmetics and health sectors).
Amongst others, Abikè advises on the interpretation of international conventions and how they apply to environmental issues (biodiversity, biotechnology, access and benefit sharing). She is experienced in negotiating, drafting and revising commercial agreements, and translating international conventions from English to French and vice versa.
Abikè also provides legal advice for litigation cases, in particular, in civil enforcement procedures.
